sharp claws

my puppy has got really sharp claws! weve walked him on pavements to try and wear them down but there still sharp.
should we cut them at an early stage? any ideas?

Yes you can clip them. I started clipping Lani's at 8 weeks when we got her. There was a recent post on the US Labradoodle forum about this issue. It was suggested to use a Dremel Tool by Black and Decker to file the nails. Here is the link to the post and relpies. Hope the Dremel Tool available in Europe.

At 12 weeks, Teddy still has super sharp claws. Unfortunately, we still can't cut them! If your doodle has white nails, you can see the black "quick" in them, which is the blood supply. You can't cut that or it will hurt and bleed. Teddy's quick is still all the way to the end of his sharp nails.
