Angus loves ham and pigs ears! Having said that, I'm like Jerry's mum - always getting him something when I go shopping Laughing

Hi...I try to use local shops for as many things as possible these days, the service is so much more personal and the quality tends to be better

We use our local pet shop for Archie's Burns kibble, and they've always got a wide range of treats. He loves the doggie sausages, and normally has half of one before bedtime - it tends to settle him off and we don't hear a peep until about 7:30am. He's got used to it now, and about 10:30pm, he sits in front of you as if to say 'I'm ready for bed now, can I have my sausage please?' Laughing

They've also got pigs ears and roasted knuckle bones, which he has as a treat on special occasions in the evening

We also use a local butchers for meat - it's only one guy who works there, so he always asks how Archie is and keeps whole Beef leg bones in for his doggie-customers. He's always willing to saw one of these bones into three, and gives them us for free. I tend to roast them all in the oven for about an hour and a half - that gets rid of a lot of the fat. Archie absolutely loves them, they keep him quiet for hours!...also good for his newly-found adult teeth - they're sparkling white now!
