I'm Suzanne, 26 of age, and I live with my boyfriend Roel in the Netherlands!

Meet Boef, our golden boy! He is a beautiful male Doodle fom Tegan, Australia. He has a golden fleece coat and is 9 months old now. As we live in the Netherlands, Boef had quite a journey to make, but he arrived as one happy Doodle, and he still is! He loves to run, swim, play, go out with us, lick ( I read more doodles love it), go to the dogschool with us, sleep at our feet, ride in the car, make himself very very dirty and cuddle on the sofa... It's great having him!

I also have a site about him. It was mine to start with, but now it only carries my name... It's in Dutch, but you can take a look at the pictues anyway!

Hi boef & owners welcome to the forum


Boef looks stunning! he is a lovely colour and has a beautiful coat
all the way from tegan australia! At what age did they ship him over? Was it compilated to have him shipped?

Are Labradoodle becoming popular in holland as they are in the uk?

Great, what a quick response!

Nobody in my environment knew what a Labradoodle was, not even our vet! When we called them fo the first time, they thought we made a joke... Like most people if we tell them we are the proud owners of a Australian Labradoodle So, they are not very known yet, but on the internet I found several Dutch Doodles, I think they are upcoming. Here in the Netherland there are 2 main breeders, but they are quite small and have a long waitinglist. When I discovered I really do not have a allergic reaction to a Labradoodle, we really didn't want to wait for over a year (or several years...), so therefo we contacted Tegan. They did a great job matching the right dog to us, and Boef was 10 weeks when he was shipped to the Netherlands. At Tegan they pepare the dogs very well to al the travelling, so Boef wasn't impressed at all from his journey! He did impress us with that!!! He is our little (well, little...?) brave boy, very open minded and happy! At Tegan they started his socialisation very well, and we continue(d) it here, so Boef is very easy going and we are so happy to have him in our lives!

All things about his journey are done by Tegan, all we had to do was confirm at the airport that we were expecting a dog at that day and pick him up.

Ofcourse, all doodles ownes are as happy with his of her dog, so I'm probably not adding something new now

Do you know how much he weighs at 9 months?

The last time we checked his weight, between Christmas and New Years Eve, it was 26 kilo and he was 61 cm high at the shoulder.
I don't know exactely when he will stop growing but we love big dogs, therefor we have choosen a Standard!

He has a lovely coat,is it the same as jerry's coat and takes a lot to look after it?We have to brush jerry all the time to stop it from getting matted

Boef his coat is very easy to handle!!! Not a lot of work at all! And if we brush him, he let us do our work in peace.

he looks lovely!! they are so much fun arnt they. Otis is 6mths and 29kg!! everyone always said he would be big!! a gentle giant. Great with the kids and really loves everyone and everything. Have fun!!
