We had some friends round for dinner the other night and my friend brought his wife who is petrified of dogs, the day before they came round she phoned my wife to ask what dogs we had, when we said a labradoodle she looked jerry up on the net,
she got a shock when she came round and saw jerry she couldnt believe the size of him.
at first we had to leave him in the garden as she was really scared!but as soon as we introduced her to jerry she couldnt believe how loving and soft he was, after an hour of meeting him she was cuddling him and getting sloppy kisses from jerry.

see everybody loves a doodle! Very Happy

Absolutely!!! Our 2 "escaped" from the back yard (managed to open the gate somehow...) - and when my husband went down the street looking for them, found them at the same time that the police did!!! The policeman was quite enamoured with our 2 - asked what kind they were, and then asked my husband for ID before he would let him take the dogs away.... Didn't comment on the lack of tags (still haven't put them on as we are now up to 6 collars between the 2 of them) - just asked if our "fine looking dogs" were still puppies...

Shocked WOW, thats one BIG DOOD you've got there, I'm sure I read on another thread (can't find it again) that he's 38kg....my word, thats big. Oh couldn't believe it. Our 2 are around 24kg's and 23-24 inches tall, can't imagine what 38kg's looks like in the flesh lol

Laughing

We do have great dogs indeed! Very Happy I had a similar story where a man stopped me in our village and asked what kind of dogs they where and if he could pet them. He then went on to say that he was attacked a few years ago and since the attack hadn't looked or touched another dog due to the fear of being attacked again. Crying or Very sad
He said that for some reason he felt the need to cross the road and come over to see our doods, he said that they where the calmest, friendliest and kindest looking dogs he'd ever met and would even consider looking into getting one. His wife nearly passed out Shocked Very Happy

It just goes to show that they are used as assistance dogs for a reason!!!
