Hi there, My Name is Marcia and I have a 15 week old Labradoodle called Barney

Barney came to us at 8 Weeks old. Origionally my partner had wanted a Cocker Spaniel, however i gradually talked him into getting a Labradoodle. I believe that we made the right choice Barney is a little Gem. My 4 year old son loves him to bits. They play together all day. Barney has settled in well and we have started to attend puppy classes. He loves to learn and seems to be quite bright

I know very little about the breed other than what I have read on the internet. I would love to learn about the different variations of the breed. How does the parentage of a dog affect its appearance? Barneys father is a Lab and his mother is a Poodle His coat is wiry to the touch. He is beautiful, i am just wondering how long his coat may grow. I wonder what he will look like as an adult dog!

I would love to find out if there are any other Essex Doodles out there

Angus is a 16 week old black labradoodle. His mum is a black lab and his dad a black poodle. He also has a wiry coat, however, it is growing and he is starting to get wavy!

He is growing like mad at the mo. Last week he put on 3lbs He is a joy to own and is sooo friendly

Izzy has the same parentage. She is 2 years old now Her coat is shaggy, she stands about 25ins to the shoulder and weights 24kilo`s. She is a bundle of fun and expecting her pups in 2 weeks time.

Hello - Our 2 have the flip side as parents - Mom is a Lab (chocolate) and dad is a standard bred poodle (also chocolate....) Their coats are wiry, and becoming quite thick and curly. We have about 8" of snow on the ground now - and their coats have really thickened up in the last few weeks.

Even though our 2 are brother & sister from the same litter, they are quite a bit different. George looks more lab-like, and is over 70 lbs at 10 months of age. Peggy is a bit more poodle in her appearance, and is 15 lbs lighter. Surprisingly, it is Peggy who has the "big dog" bark!!!
